IFA Redfish Tours Return to Hopedale, Louisiana
IFA Louisiana Division events set for April 29-30
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (April 18, 2017) – Inshore anglers from across Louisiana and surrounding regions will converge at Hopedale, Louisiana, April 29-30, for the first regular-season events for the Louisiana Division of the 2017 IFA Redfish Tour Presented by Cabela’s and IFA Kayak Fishing Tour Presented by Hobie Fishing.
The IFA Redfish Tour Presented by Cabela’s will begin its activities on Friday. April 28, with tournament registration from 5-7 p.m. at Docville Farm (5124 East St. Bernard Hwy., Violet, LA 70092) with the captain’s meeting following registration. Anglers will launch at safe light on Saturday, April 29, from Hopedale Marina (7600 Hopedale Hwy., Hopedale, LA 70085) and return to the marina for the weigh-in.
Competitors in the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour Presented by Hobie Fishing will have registration from 6-7 p.m. with captains meeting to follow on Saturday, April 29, at Hopedale Marina. Anglers will launch Sunday, April 30, from the location of their choice and return to Hopedale Marina for the weigh-in. Check-in times will be announced at Saturday’s captain’s meeting.
Continuing to draw inshore anglers from Texas to the Carolinas, both IFA Tours include five different divisions, each with a two-event regular season. With budget-friendly entry fees, both tours offer opportunities to compete close to home while keeping anglers’ expenses to a minimum.
In addition to nearly 200 percent payback, every regular-season IFA Redfish Tour event guarantees fully rigged RB190 Ranger (new in 2017) boat prize package powered by a 90 horsepower, 4-stroke Mercury outboard valued at $26,800 for first place. Each IFA Kayak Fishing Tour event will feature a $1,500 cash prize for the winning angler.
